SHE VINTAGE started because shopping for heels had become boring. The same shapes, the same finishes, the same five pairs in every window. Meanwhile the interesting shoes — the sculptural heels, the good satin, the leather that was actually built to last — were already made, decades ago, sitting in wardrobes and market stalls waiting to be found.
So that's what I do. I look for pairs with something about them: a heel shape you have to look at twice, a colour nobody makes anymore, a detail that turns a plain outfit into a decision. If a pair doesn't make me stop, it doesn't go on the site.
Everything is one of one. There's no restocking a vintage shoe, so when a pair sells it's gone. Each one is cleaned, conditioned and photographed exactly as it is — scuffs included — with real measurements and honest condition notes, because buying shoes you can't try on should still feel straightforward.
